Re: Is it legal...?
IIRC, it's legal so long as you have proof that you actually own the game, so you should be fine as long as you keep the disc.

Re: Is it legal...?
Strictly speaking I don't think so. As far as I remember the law says you can make one copy of your disc for backup purposes but as the torrent was a copy of someone else's disc and not yours, I don't know that you'd be covered. Also copyright law may v...

Is it legal...?
I have got a question for the moderators and any others that would know enough about legal issues to answer. You see, I had bought Fable: The Lost Chapters a while ago, when it was still available in stores. Then after being away from playing the game fo...

Re: Fable Explorer Help needed
Indeed. Using an .iso made from your own discs is one thing (I personally created an .iso of the 4 discs combined into a single disc in order to speed up install) but openly admitting "a friend" gave you a copy and then expecting help with it is ...

Re: Fable Explorer Help needed
Do you have an example of this cos I haven't got a clue what you're on about. A file ??? If you're trying to load from an .iso without installing i'm not going to be impressed. In this case it's completely pointless. Fable Explorer runs p...

Re: New here and need some help.
Your computer is trying to read it as a DVD, not an Xbox game. You need to save the game to the Xbox hard drive or rip it from the disc on your computer via special software. Never having owned an Xbox or an Xbox game, I can't help you with that.

Invisibility spell?
The other day, I read JohnDoe's Graphics editing 101, a most useful reference, when I noticed something written about the transparency of a texture. After further investigation on the site, I saw several designs with transparent parts. One thing lead to an...

It's plausible, at a guess. Bootcamp And I believe 'Winerack' got renamed to 'WineX' - Even though that could be a completely different program. http://sourceforge.net/projects/winex/

Furthermore the uploading of original files is prohibited on this site. If you want it that bad, get it off your retail disc.

Well, did you set the alpha right? If so, then just grab backups off your disc and try again?

Re: Setup.exe
That aside, I think it's fairly obvious OP didn't buy a copy of the game and hence should run away screaming (because I tend to bite) and find his own setup.exe from the retail disc.

Re: Setup.exe
How could it possibly do that unless the game was written on a re-writable disc? Which, by the way, it wasn't.

Re: need help
The error means that you don't have your game disc in. You wouldn't get that error if you either had your game disc in or if you were using the no-cd exe properly. User error.

Re: Freeroam error Help
No because that would be against the rules and no because the FinalAlbion.wad on your disc couldn't be corrupted since you installed Fable and have apparently run it without incident and no because if you did everything right then you wouldn't be having an...

Re: Freeroam error Help
You used an FMP with FE that edits the FinalAlbion.wad. The FinalAlbion.wad is broken (works with Fable, not with FreeRoam) and so you'll need to grab a clean FinalAlbion.wad off of your game discs (I think it's disc #3) or from a backup.

Re: I could really do with some help
The problem is the discs. You can clean the discs and try it with a different disc drive, that's your best chance.

Re: Dialogue.lut Solution
This applies to any file named in any error of the sort during installation, doesn't always work though. Sometimes one must use a different drive altogether. However, it won't work at all if the disc is damaged. Dirty =/= damaged. Just making that clear...

Restore from backup. Didn't make any? Get a clean game.bin off the disc. Don't have the disc? Go buy another one.

Re: a request... for help
2 options come to mind; 1. Get a clean Game.bin of the game disc[s] 2. Load a restore mod like the one found here Also; make backups before modding, saves us all time.

Re: Dark knight armor re-textures
This is a retexture, so most likely you'll have to replace the textures.big I checked it to be sure, this mod only contains texture entries. To see what entries an fmp contains, rename the mod.fmp to mod.big and open it with FE.
