Here's a little "side" quest I put together, just to try some things out. I'll eventually be adding it to my complete XBOX mod "Afterlife"
To start the quest:
Leave the Hero's Guild and head to Oakvale. Once you reach Oakvale, go to the docks and take a "ship" to Hook Coast. When you arrive in Hook Coast, head north to the cemetary. There you'll see a cave entrance. Enter to start the journey.
And if you need some sort of back story, it goes something like this:
After being found guilty of horrible crimes against the people of Albion, The King took refuge in the caves of Hook Coast before his execution could be carried out. He took with him his vast fortune of gold, gems, and his legendary weapons and armour. Many heroes have ventured into the caves to seek out the fortune, but none have returned.
Hint: Bring a spade and a fishing rod.
I'd love to hear some comments; good, bad or otherwise. Enjoy!!

Yikes. Looks like I've got explaining to do.
Marcopolo wrote on Sun, 12 November 2006 20:36 | ok just wondering is this a bunch of tngs?
becaseu i'd like to play it
but not on xbox preferably
|
Its TNGs and and FMP. The FMP is really optional, you can use the TNGs w/out it.
chaos wrote on Sun, 12 November 2006 22:40 | No it's not an fmp.....
Bleach Bone Island crashes by the way, did you test this?
|
Yes, I tested it. Several people did actually, you're the first person to report that. I only tested this on XBOX though.
chaos wrote on Sun, 12 November 2006 23:13 | no there isn't....i just downloaded it and played it....
to be exact it includes a few TNG's for pc users and the FMP for XBOX
|
No - everything is for XBOX users. "A side quest for XBOX"

And Blue, he is cannot get .wad to open into Fable Explorer..
::As far as the fmp I get mismatch errors. This because the cdefs linked are not named. Even if they existed and you just simply editted them it is recommended you export and import them with names. Like "CWeaponDef - blah" else it will throw a fit (I mean name, the type would still be just "CWeaponDef" if you get what I'm saying.::
|
Yes, can't open the wad file for some reason. And I don't get any mismatch errors, again, the people I tested it with didn't either. Are you using the XBOX .xml?
Thanks for the comments btw....
I'll keep working on it.

Haha, I went there right after guild training, I did ALOT of rolling....

Good to know, thanks! Yes, I made it very challenging. And my technique of blocking entrances/exist (so you can't just run through the levels stealing loot) was quite cool - if I say so myself.
BTW, you can skip Bone Island if you like, take the other route when you get to the haunted house demon door (forgot the name). If you can make it all the way to the end (and make it back out), I'd be quite impressed!!!
BTW..I'd still like to fix it for PC. If you'd like to take a crack at it, be my guest. The only part the original tng I changed was the Region Exit. Everything else I added, noted by the UIDs starting with "5".

Sure, I could probably put some together. I mean, its not that exciting, I was more-or-less putting out the feelers, seeing if anyone was really very interested in XBOX mods. I've really been making most of these mods for myself to enjoy. This was one that I always wanted to do. Link all the demon doors together (which face it, are otherwise worthless), and make you have to battle to earn riches and the legendary weapons. And quite honestly, its fun being creative.
But if you want, it seems at least some of the tngs work for the PC, doesn't really hurt to try it out for yourself.
I'm seriously thinking I'll pick up the PC edition, just to offer some mods. I think I saw a copy for $20.

Just tried it on xbox and ran into some problems. Did a fresh copy of tlc to my xbox hdd, ftp'd what I needed for FE and free-roam to my PC, loaded fmp no problem, placed tng's in FinalAlbion folder, ftp'd everything back to xbox. Now it freezes on first load of a new game (I have tried with gameflow enabled and disabled, and different spawn points, but same result) Have any ideas?
