Yes. I have used search. I've been using it sice 7:45PM today.
Nothing has worked (that i've found)and i've also looked on Wiki for a few hours.
I must say, I'm quite close to giving up Fable and Modding completely through this incident.
Ok, so I opened Fable explorer, then opened up the texture for the Iron Longsword. I saved the tecture, opened it up in Photoshop, made it blue with runes on it blah blah, then went back to the window for the original Iron Longsword texture, then clicked "open new," and selected my modified version (which was a .png) and then applied changes. when i played the game, every time the Iron Longsword came into view at all, my game crashed and every texture in the game had been corrupted.
I've had to reinstall Fable 4 times because of this.
can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
or at least give some stop-by-step?
this is honestly getting rediculous.
(please dont tell me that there are many guides i can look at, because i have looked at them, and they either dont explain it thuroughly enough or i've already tried their method.)

or do you mean when i am importing them and it asks which format on the fable explorer window?

when you get to the save as screen it should say like "DXT 1, DXT 2 , DXT5," or something like that, its not a diffrent file type, its the diffrent types of the DDS file format
i think this is what it is anyway, sorry if this doesn't work, hope it does..

the problem is most likely the alpha not being 0.. many people have kept posting about this.. and it got cleared up once someone said making the alpha 0..

Thanks guys. Thanks a lot! ^^
I've got a cool looking sword that I will be editing the stats of, and changing the name of. If it turns out good enough, I'll post it as a .fmp
It'll be a Mage sword, so expect something like that.
