Kenac's Re-Skins
Release I

By Kenac

----------------
----------------

I present you with some very basic re-skins. It's not all that great; I just took a bunch of existing textures, used GIMP, and created "new" textures. This is my first attempt at modding for Fable:TLC in any form. I decided to make this the first release. If I ever want to mod for Fable again, I'll do a new release.

The textures are listed below:

1. Moonlight Apprentice Outfit replaces regular Apprentice Outift
2. Moonlight Assassin Outfit replaces regular Assassin Outfit
3. Indigo Will Robe replaces Will User Bright Robe Outfit
4. Indigo Villager Outfit replaces Bright Villager Outfit
5. The Bloodline Eye replace the regular eye texture
6. Mist Will User Robe replaces Will User Neutral Robe Outfit
7. Night Skin replaces the normal skin texture (lighter skin, make up on eyes)
8. Wild Child Outfit replaces regular Young Hero Outfit

How to install:

1. Make a backup of your current textures.big file (Inside: .../Fable/data/graphics/pc/textures.big)
2. Open textures.big in FableExplorer.
3. Click "File" and select "Load Fable Mod Package".
4. Select the new texture set you want.
5. Recompile textures.big
6. Overwrite the current textures.big with the new one (DON'T OVERWRITE OUR BACKUP TEXTURES.BIG)
7. Run Fable:TLC

TADA! It's that easy!

WARNING: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
This mod shouldn't cause any errors with your saves (I dont' see as to why it should), but let me know if something does happen.

Hope you enjoy the re-skins!

Nice skins. Works just fine. Very Happy

I was wondering, where did you find the models?

Thanks. ^^

No models were used actually. I just extracted some textures by Fable Explorer. They're in the textures.big file, in the second one, and all begin with "COM_HERO" in the file name.

Hmm. How did you open up the texttures with just GIMP? Mine can't do that.=/

I don't really like the indigo one. For some reason it's clipping my beard... Well, it dissapeared, at least. Now i look so beard-less. Embarassed

Personally, I <3 the indigo robe. XD

I made GIMP open any form of picture that I have, although the downside is that EVERY SINGLE PICTURE FILE is automatically opened by GIMP.

?

It's right there: "Release I.rar" There is no "final" version, really. It's a project I'll do every now and then rather.

If the difference was barely noticable what would be the point of a reskin ?

There is nothing in the Void.
There is no point to it's being.
I wish there was a reason.
There is nothing in the Void,
But what we put there.

To each their own, but you're right; it doesn't really make sense to do a re-skin and make it nearly the same as the original.

Plus, they're individual FMP's, so you don't have to install all of them.
