what the poop am i doing wrong? if i make a bran new chest, no matter what i change the sword of aeons to, when i go and play, its always a sword of aeons, and if i edit an existing chest, the game crashes. its quite frustrating

When editing a chest always ensure that you make a unique UID for it and that every line is correctly spelt and terminated with a ;.

Also, make sure your not using the JoB one as I think it crashes with that.

I'm pretty sure I've given my character the SOA for JOB through a chest before. I don't remember it giving any errors.

alright, i figured out why it kept crashing. its coz i had a mod to make the archon battle armour look different.. and it was a crap mod so it didnt work in the game right. when i tried to spawn it in a chest, the game crashed. after i reinstalled the game, the armour was back to normal, and now spawning is no problem. so i was doing it right. the mod just sucked, lol.

what if you start it up and evreything is fine then you open the chest and it brings you to a glitch like in trees
and you can move but cant get out how do you fix that

i did that already and it did the same thing
thats why im stuck i just dont get it i searched the forum
on how to fix it but nothing will help me thats it

I realize that this thread is like 2 months old...but whatever. I experienced this same problem at first. It is because the UID you're using is not unique. Try chaning it or generating one with AE.
