Free Roam fmp [message #17718] |

This fmp will let you freeroam in Fable.
Obvious, but since there are a lot of idiots around:
This doesn't work if you've used the FreeRoam App!
How to:
Quote: | 1. Back up your FinalAlbion.wad (found: Fable/Data/Levels/)
2. Extract the 'Freeroam.zip' (use something like WinRar or 7zip)
3. Start Fable Explorer
4. Click 'File' and 'Load Fable Mod Package'
5. Select the 'Freeroam.fmp'
6. Give Fable Explorer a sec or two to load the fmp
7. Click 'Actions' and 'Save mods and run Fable'
8. Wait till Fable starts
|
NOTE
This does not have the exact same effect as the FreeRoam app since I didn't include the fillers, leadouts and demondoors.
(Too much work, but please feel free to create an fmp for this as an add-on )
-
Attachment: Freeroam.zip
(Size: 7.32MB, Downloaded 18880 times)
this is not an exit.

No.
Also you don't need the freeroam app to put items in chests or anything. All you need is Fable Explorer.
Chest in Lookout Point
- Open FE in the top left of FE double click on FinalAlbion.wad.
- Find Lookoutpoint.tng
- open lookoutpoint.tng
- click export in the "view entry data"
- Save the file as something like "lookoutpoint.tng"
- Open "lookoutpoint.tng" in notepad
- scroll down till you find this code:
- Copy and paste New Chest Code (in the spoiler) underneath:
New Chest Code[code]NewThing Object;
Player 4;

- Change ContainerContents[#] to what ever you want
- File->Save
- Go back to FE click import in the "view entry data"
- Click Apply Changes

the whole point is that it changes the wad file, so yeah, don't mess with the ini and stuff

Had you done any modding before?
If you used the freeroam APP then make darn sure you went to userst and changed:
UseLevelWAD TRUE;
to
UseLevelWAD FALSE;
And made sure the files path is like this:
Program Files / Microsoft Games / Fable: The Lost Chapters / Data / Levels / FinalAlbion (Final Albion as a folder)
If you didn't use the freeroam app:
Some mods can screw your game up.
So if this is the case, then use your backups (The ones you probably didn't make before modding).
If by any chance you didn't backup files, you'll have the fun experience of reinstalling.
(Dont worry, in most cases you can keep your save files )
If you had to reinstall, let this be a lesson:
MAKE BACKUP FILES!!!!!
