You will need to save them as .bmp files and drop them into your custom tattoo folder in your my documents folder.

I know somebody was asking for the Cyuubi seal on Naruto's stomach.
Well i took the liberty of making it, and finaly contribute to the site.

I only just made an account on here to say that making Tattoo's like Maze's (Where they glow) is possible. Now, I've only messed with this for actual 'in game' tattoos, and not those just stored in the custom tattoo folder.

Using a combination of glow, normal, texture and alpha maps, you are able to achieve a similar effect.

I'll post pics, and even take some 'glowing' requests once I get it all worked out 100% (I've only messed with it for one night, and will be going to bed now. =P )

The real issue I had was with it not applying the alpha maps properly... As I said, more work will be needed.

Well I would, if I could.
Btw another question, I created a cool tatto featuring a centaur and I saved it like the turotrial said me to save, but when I approach a tattooist and buy the tattoo (custom chest tatto, right ?) it doesn't show up on my body, does somebody now how to help ?

I was trying to make a tattoo for your legs like the spartans on 300, but for some reason my fable game won't show the custom tattoos, and the Custom Tattoo Tutorial to the letter. I may have to reinstall the game sadly, being that it's 4 CDs and takes forever.

But I will come up with more tattoos, like my wearwolf tattoo I had a while back that was freaky.

The regular custom tattoos lose detail when applied because they are fairly small .bmp files. In comparison the in-game tattoos are .dds files of a higher detail and I believe are of larger dimensions also.

It is possible to make tattoos like those found in-game but it's a slightly more involved process as you would need to create a new texture,item,etc.

Well it depends on what you mean by "able to work".

If you mean can you just dump it in the custom tattos folder and have the game pick it up, then no as the game was never designed for that. DDS files will only work if added as a new/replacement game item using FE.

As far as quality goes the image would have to be a decent quality first, saving as .dds will not magigally improve it. I would recomend you use the dds version of the hero's skin as a guide.
