Recently I found out the function of an unknown in CREATUREs. It controls the time it takes for the body of a dead creature to disappear, so I decided to take advantage of it. With this mod, I went threw EVERY creature (with the exception of the hero, the hero teen, the hero kid, the hero balverine [although not used in the game] and their bases) and made it so their dead body's will not disappear (it will technically take 999999 seconds for the body's to disappear, witch is 16666.65 minutes, witch is 277.7775 hours, witch is 11.5740625 days [I hope someone doesn't stay in one area, staring at a body without sleeping or closing the game for that long...if so they're a little weird]). I know I over did it, I changed creatures that don't even leave body's, or can be killed, but I changed them anyways, just because I could. Enjoy.

Its so big for an FMP because, like I said, I went threw EVERY creature (with the exception of the hero), and they're all on this FMP. It should take a while to load, so if it takes a while, don't worry.

WARNING: Any changes you, or a mod you use, made that modifies any creature (with the exception of the hero) may be set back to its original state (other then it not rotting), unless it modifies the creatures original CDefs. Also, on some computers, it may cause lag if you kill a lot of creatures (hobbe killing contest, massacres, arena, ect).

If any creature was left unchanged, please PM me what it is.

I made an add on that makes kids killable, while having their decay time altered.

~Searyan~

P.S. I couldn't think of a good name, sorry.
P.P.S. Anyone interested, the number for the unknown I modified is 78525968.

Thank you, I just put up the ID for the unknown, so it can be added to the DEF file (I did it for mine).

You know, I knew this could be done just never bothered. But now that you did it, I've got to admit... it adds a lot more reality to the game. Nice one!

Yes, in town the cleanup team takes the body's, everywhere else some animals take them away (note, this isn't true, it's just what would happen in real life).

The mod effects them to, but so does a mod like Fable PAIN. If you use No Body's Rots then Fable PAIN, then their decay time will return to normal. I guess I can make a fix for that.

that explains it. i've been using fable pain. i fix would be nice. if i added more children to the game would this mod effect them to? will the fix be able to work with fable pain so the kids don't rot and i can still use weapons and magic everywhere?

I already added the fix, tell me if it works. It should only fix the children, and not interrupt anything else.

UPDATE

It turns out that this particular FMP loses 93% of it's file size by being zipped (it's only 75kbs when 7 zipped Shocked), so now it can be downloaded directly off the site.

He means why didn't you go for the standard .zip format.

Look at the download, it IS zip, I was just making a statement how much the file size is reduced in 7zip format (it didn't mean much just something random), but I still used zip because it got the job done (and it can be opened standardly by any XP/Vista PC or anyone who has programs like winzip). Look at the freaking download, it's "Attachment: No body Rots.zip". Shouldn't have said anything about it Laughing.

You were saying 7Zip format. Marco then assumed you meant .7zip as opposed to .zip.

Thank you, I don't know if it took a lot of time, (I think an half hour to a whole hour) but it sure was...*forgets word due to tiredness, might fill in later* repetitive (took me a while to remember AND remember I need to fill this in Laughing).

I hate to revive a fricken 4-5 year dead thread but I have an issue Sad
Every time I try to load the fmp it crashes my fable explorer.
Does anyone have a solution to this, or can someone let me know WHICH unknown controls the body disappear time?
If I can't get the fmp to work I'll just take the time to change the value myself, but I need to know which value to change Razz

It says in the first post what he modified. Under the CREATURE entry, modify the box with ID 78525968

Oh. Now I see it.
Somehow I managed to miss the p.p.s. after carefully reading the main text multiple times searching for the number.
Thank you very much for letting me know the exact number.
Again, sorry for posting on a 5-year-old thread.
And To the author, if you happen to see this 5 years after your last post, awesome job.
