ok i figured out how to make the plate armour have glowing runes without having the whole damn suit glow so ive started making a new suit out of it, i got some early development pics here but it will definitely look alot better once its finished.

How did you do that? Did you clone the model, retexture it with the runes (with transparently for everything but where you want), make it glow, and add it to the CAppearanceModifierDef? If not, please tell me what you did Very Happy. Or did you open it in 3Ds Max and clone it inside itself and not give the clone a texture and reimport it (if so the first one is easier). I'm not sure if either of these will work, it's just something I think might work.

lol i was joking

it's done throught the CAppearanceModifierDef that is really 2 whole chest peices of plate armour except one has only the runes so i can make it glow without the whole damn thing glowing

No, since they don't have a CAppearanceModdiferDef or anything of the sort, just one graphic.

I don't think that'll work...but try it anyways, just for the shear #$%@ing hell of it.... Very Happy

Yes. Which is the only way to do it. I'd also scale it very slightly to prevent any weird clipping issues. And be sure to alpha everything that doesn't glow.

nah you dont need scaling, it seems to just make each added layer appear under the original, if they are the same mesh that is

Do you think this could cause a little more lag then if you had on a normal plate, because you're really wearing two plates. I'm talking for those with computers who tend to lag a tad in Fable.

what about the ppl without 3d max what they gonna do if they wanna make rune swords and rune armour and not make the whole thing glow??

well each mesh texture bit has its own glow setting so if you had a mesh part that was a different name you could make it glow without the rest of the sword glowing.

also it could cause lag but so could mos of my mods, my bigass mushroom is going to kill any comp that isnt that gret
