ok so this is my bigass mushroom mod as the title suggests, it was previewed in my fable fungus thread as the main one i keeps having problems with but now it is finally done! oldboy has tested this and given it the ok, it is apparently bug free. In the attached sip file is a readme which YOU MUST READ to spawn the mushroom correctly. Also included is all the tng stuff to spawn a base mushroom in the guild exterior.tng

http://fable.pe-ell.net/gallery/albums/Marcopolos-Tests/9_18_2007_11_58_41_PM.jpg

This is just the start of my expanded landscape pack, I'll be releasing the other blue mushrooms later once i figure out some problems with stuff dissapearing before it should, and i will probably make atleast one more normal tree.

i will also be releasing a continuation of this mod later on hopefully with maybe a storyline and a few more big mushrooms if i get up the patience to go through the hell of making it again.

ps. read the readme:

readme

just merge the fmp then copy all the stuff in the other notepad document
into guildexsterior.tng (purely for fitting it correctly's sake)
the mushroom spawns as SEVEN different parts so do not move them individually
unless you want some weird skewed shroom. for ease of use i made it so
they all have the same coords so you could position it wit one bit then
copy over the other stuff

you gotta have a good-ish comp to run this, it is extremely high poly and
taxing on computers due to what i had to do to the model to make it spawn
and texture correctly.

have fun Smile

Well at least it's a unique mod, if we ever manage to clone areas and have the ground textures still (might do it anyways without textures) so I can make my garden, I'm planting this there Very Happy. Perhaps you can PM me how to clone areas (even if there are no ground textures) so I can do so if I want to. Will you send the info to me?

ive never succesfully made a "new" map without ground textures even

i have a feeling that it has to be defined in the stb even if it has no textures or something

why not just use a filler?

...I don't know, bad experience I guess. I thought you said that it could be done though without ground textures? Oh well, might go filler shopping sometime, got any suggestions? All I want is a wide, open, space with nothing really special.

k, I'll make a note of that. I found a filler by Greatwood once, it was ok, if I can't find anything at the BC, then I'll need to use that. Time to break out inforapid and open the fillers Very Happy.

Yeah, it's a program I found that can search threw files and replace specific words with other words, I once used it to change "SeesMap" to "ContainsMap" in the WLD, although there are several other programs that'll do that, it's just I like using it. It's a good substitute to the search function in windows, it becomes a right click option for everything. Give it a try if you feel like it, it's useful with TNG modding.

While I'm talking about programs, I also like a program called Notepad++, it's basically a notepad with a lot of useful functions. It like inforapid becomes a right-click option for everything, so you can open files with it without association them with it.

hmm, i tend to use windows grep for most of my gargantuan search needs

but the best thing i found for cutscene edits is pspad it does hex aswell as plain text, also it highlights the whole line so it is useful for stuff that has alot of space between things

Yep, found it when I modded Dungeon Siege 2 and kept it, not quite as useful for Fable as it is for Dungeon Siege (both version are basically all text and you can mod it with notepad), but it's still useful.
