Here's a test render of the Wolf Hood Model. Feel free to critique.
@ Darkenend Souls peoples: anything in particular you'd like to say on it?
@ The community in general: anything you'd like to see on a wolf head hat?

Okay - I'll go look at some reference photos (likely should have done that earlier on...)
Well, after looking at some reference photos it looks like the mussel is to think and as Marco pointed out the nose is to round or too flat depending on which way you want to phrase it. Also looks like the ears should be twisted to face more out instead of forward.

Hmm... This is a stupid idea, but why not go all Albion on the idea and make a Balverine hood? It would probably score some good scariness points too now that I think about it.

It is true that such a thing would be more thematically sensible... I'll perhaps do another one that is more balverine-y. Though, if were going to do that. It would be easier to just grab the balverine model slice off it's head and scale and cut it to fit the hero's head. Something that anyone who has a 3d program can do (since it requires no actual modeling skill).
In general I'm doing this not out of the generosity of my heart or for the neatness of it for fable, but for the practice at 3d work. I need more character modeling practice.

square off the nose a little, and I disagree with blood spots, the hero would wash it off, if there are blood spots, ima retexture it.
edit: looks pretty good though

Square off the head. It's too bulbous.
Apathy Cannot Inspire.
Ambivalence cannot lead.
Loved me. Feared me.
Changed me. Killed me.
Anything would be something.
But nothing is worst of all.

How can you say make it more wolvish and then say to add horns. The two don't go together unless you've been looking at some very strange wolves.
There is nothing in the Void.
There is no point to it's being.
I wish there was a reason.
There is nothing in the Void,
But what we put there.

I'm going to have to agree horns would seem somewhat out of place.
Blue, that is scariest wolf picture I have ever seen (the second one). *Shivers*
The floppy ears kinda bug me... they make it seem so cute and cuddly...
Suggestions?
Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Marcopolo wrote on Wed, 24 October 2007 18:39 | i'd say make the ears a tad longer and fold them a bit closer to the head, and yeah make it smaller, tighter to the hero's head and like blue said less bulbous
|
I'm on it.
Update:
- Front, Side, and Back views.
- Extended Ears and folded them more
- Attempted to flatten the face and head ...
- Lengthened the jaw
