Here it is! I might need to work out a few kinks, but it is done! I haven't done everything I had hoped, but I resorted to the original plan and took out all the unnecessary things. I didn't take out everything, but a lot of things are gone. Here is an outdated preview, but I'll have pics soon enough. I put the buildings back. If there are any errors tell me. I will put up an fmp soon, but for now you need to have used freeroam. Happy enjoying scenery!
p.s. Greatwood looks incredible, but I haven't seen anything after the banditpath.
Greatwood
I stretched the camera for a bigger view in these pics
here is the video
Feel free to use this mod as a base for any mod you make
you can use the provided FinalAlbion.wld to connect some of the regions, but I haven't tested this, so be careful
UPDATE! Now has a Fable: Bare FMP for people who haven't used the freeroam app. You'll need 7zip to get at the fmp though.
you can get 7zip here
props to Chaos and Searyan for the idea of an installer.
the zip contains tng's, the 7z contains an fmp
When you're done, paste the tng files from the fix_darkened_soul.7z file over the ones from this mod, to fix a bug with orchard farm.

Perhaps fiishing the region connections, making the npc navigation a little more upredictable, such as some more adventurous traders might wak off the beaten path a bit. Same with the bandits, cretures, and other crap like that. Maybe also adding a little variety to flora and fauna based on region and region climate. Possibly different personalities based on region and weather. Things like that are probably what he means by "Recreating" the mod.
I can do precisely none of this, but if the ideas are used, please give credit for the creativity.
feel free to pm me ore email me @ theflamealchemist@yahoo.com
if you need any more ideas for mods.

that's a great idea! also, I was considering making new map styles, like moving around the entrance and exit

yea, also some things i noticed is that not only does it take ALL the fencing out but it also takes out some decorations which slightly make the game looks funny such as the training melee arena. another idea is maybe making the exiting path larger so you can run just in any direction and hit a loading screen to the next area? that would be better than haveing to go back and run down the road to go to the next area. and if you think people could get confused about which way goes where you could add that to your custom maps! =] i also agree with (i think it was chaos) about changing the NPC navigation if thats possible im not sure im new to modding if your still interested in adding to this mod i think i cant mess around with it and get new ideas =]

1. you can't change npc navigation yet
2. I can't make it so you can run in any random direction to exit, although that's not a bad idea, I might come back to that later
3. I know it takes out decorations, but wasn't that part of the point? to un-clog fable?

sry to keep posting on this topic morerunes but i was playing through some of the starting missions and the quest "protect orchard farm" has a bug with fable:bare installed. the bandits steal all 3 crates before they even run to them so the quest is automatically failed

Brambleclaw wrote on Tue, 18 March 2008 18:51 | Hey morerunes when I use 7zip it says that the file can't be opened as archive, what can I do to fix that?
| I downloaded and extracted both archives with 7Zip without a problem.
Check to see if your downloaded files match this:
Fable Bare.zip - 1,218,375 bytes
Fable Bare.7z - 5,882,347 bytes
Either way, what download manager are you using? If you don't know what I'm talking about, I mean something like Fresh Download, I used it back in the days before high-speed internet, though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
If you're not using such a download manager, what browser are you using? Like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc.
I ask because whatever it is you're using to download is missing a piece or is fudging up the data.

My Download Manager is fine and I'm using Internet Explorer, but it worked fine when I downloaded it again like Satan (one of the all knowing overlords of these forums)said.

Just played through a little bit with fable: bare and I found a problem.. When doing the "protect orchard farm" quest, it says you fail the quest right away because the boxes are removed.

crud, sorry about that, if you want to wait for fable the new world though I'll make sure that doesn't happen. For now you could try using the tng from the original game to counter that, and later I might post a patch
