Mmkay I've been trying to get this dual wield to work for a couple days. I know dual wielding isn't technically possible but my character isn't going to be swinging with two swords, just holding two.

Anyway I can't get it to work following these instructions. If I follow the exact instructions my character will switch between two swords with the same hand. If I switch one sword from the left hand to the right hand he will hold the swords in different hands, but not at the same time. Currently I have the CCarryableDef for the Solus Greatsword (note I've set it to be one handed, so that shouldn't be the problem) set to:
Weapon Hand Slot: 923
Off Hand Slot: 924
Sheathe Slot: 924

And for the Sword of Aeons:
Weapon Hand Slot: 924
Off Hand Slot: 924
Sheathe Slot: 926

The Solus Greatsword is the weapon I want to attack with in case that helps.

Any ideas as to why it's not working?

try going to the cweapondefs of sword of aons and changinf unknowne 9151b4ec to -1 that should make it so that the weapon stays in your hand wehn you sheath it

Well that allows him to dual wield the weapons. But now when I try to attack it's like he has no animations. He just stands there and slides forward when I move.

EDIT: I messed around with CCarryableDef some more and it works! Thanks so much!

Your information is incorrect sir, you can change that value to anything you want and you will not get any such result.
Edit: Pending correction.
Edit 2: Okay, caught in a technicality. This information alone does not have this result. Coupled with a few changes to the CCarryableDef you can get this result. The misunderstanding is that I thought mike93 meant that was all that was needed.

actually, he is correct, but only as long as there is only one sheathed weapon

I can't test this right now, so for the time being I'll just take your word for it. If I'm wrong, I'm very sorry.

oops, as long as the CCarryableDef has been modified correctly, you still have to set the sheath slot to left hand

Yes that's what I had to set in CCarryableDef. If I don't set SheathObject in CWeaponDef to -1 the weapon doesn't stay in the left hand though.

EDIT: Capitalization errors. xD
