I edited the .WLD to allow me to walk in fillers, but it screws up my minimap, and I want the minimap gone anyway. Much more fun without it. How do I take off the minimap? I think the WLD controls it, but I'm not completely sure.

Remove all of the "MiniMapGraphic MINIMAP_WHATEVER;" lines from the regions in the .WLD.

Edit: Seems this post is right.
I'm not listening to you again Azrooh.

I deleted what you said, and it didn't work, but I left a few things about the minimap there... I'll try deleting those.

Well, sorry about that. If that didn't work then I don't think getting rid of the scale and other bits and pieces would matter, but it's worth a try.

Satan, Silverback, and BlueTooth would know much more about this than I do, so if any of them drop by, I'm sure you'll get a correct answer instead of a guess. Smile

there are textures near the bottom in textures.big, make them transparent

That too, though I'm sure there's another way. It had been done before texture editing was easily doable if I remember correctly.

Edit: Also, if you go the texture route, you can make one transparent and edit the .WLD to use that same texture for each region, or just make all of them transparent. Either way there's some groundwork to do, so it's up to you.

Aye. Remove the minimaps from the wld. Then all you have to do is slightly alter the little ring around it in the textures.

You can also always try looking for ways to alter them within the game.bin It'd require some hunting, but anytime something is referenced by an enum, ei (MINIMAP_WHATEVER), there's gotta be an entry in one of the bins controlling it.

Alright. Thanks.

Edit - Satan, I found your minimap FMP, and it only removes the borders. But I removed everyting with 'minimap' in the name in the WLD, now it works.

There should be an fmp around here somewhere that removes the area around the map, I posted it some time ago.

There is nothing in the Void.
There is no point to it's being.
I wish there was a reason.
There is nothing in the Void,
But what we put there.
