Hello, one day I decided to make a set of staffs, not just one or two, but a whole set. Although all that I did is retexture a staff 6 times, I did run into problem making it, so I hope you don't have problems using it.

Please keep in mind, staffs are kind of difficult to use, especially at first when your not familiar to them. This is just one of those things that adds a new challenge to the game, as using staffs require skill, and sometimes strategy to use, but can also be fun all at once!

This mod will add the following staffs:

Yew - 50 Damage
Oak - 75 Damage
Ebony - 100 Damage
Obsidian - 150 Damage (requested)
Master - 215 Damage
Legendary - 330 Damage (Scythe's scythe, a friend of mine named it Malax, witch is Latin for "death")


Now, before you download and load up this mod, there are some things you NEED to know.

First thing you need is Bluetooth's staff animation mod. You can get it here http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=1034& ;amp ;amp ;amp ;amp ;amp ;amp ;amp ;start=0&

Now, if you don't like the way you run with a staff, I made a fix that'll make you run more realistically (Bluetooth, no offence but what were you thinking using THAT animation when there was a much better one). It also makes you hop around (not in a weird way) when you try to jog with a staff (before you couldn't move at all).

You need to install Bluetooth's staff animations, THEN the fix, or else it wont work.


Note: I do not claim to have made the staff animation mod, I just modified the running animation, and added hopping (please tell me there’s nowhere that your character needs to carry a crate, as I needed to replace that animation (in the character, not the actual animation itself) in order to add the hop), I do not claim anything on this modification (lol, I modded a mod).

The next part is optional in a way, but may be decided. There is also a mod to add all of the staffs, except the legendary staff (its in Snowspire, I didn't want to make getting it early real easy in normal play).

You need to add the staffs to the game BEFORE you add them to the shops with the mod, or else it might cause the game to crash when entering Bowerstone, and Snowspire (or it may add the wrong thing if your lucky in that way).

Also note that you need to start a new profile in order for the staffs to show up in the shops. It can't be helped, its just the way things work (it had something to do with the how the save system works, there is literally nothing I can do). If you don't want to start a new profile, but want the staffs, you'll need to spawn them, sorry.

This staff is beta because of a flaw in the way they're held, but other then that I think its ok. I also made it beta because I want you all to give me feedback on balancing this mod, as that’s what I'm aiming for (I want it to be balanced in a way to not make the game too easy, but give it an interesting new challenge).

I have no idea, I got that once before, although I could only fix it by getting a cleaned game.bin and reuploading my mods. I'm about to post some pics so hang on before you do anything.

I don't know what cased it though.

This should not happen to everyone! I know it doesn't happen to me, or my acquaintance Sacrifice (who really helped in the making of this mod, give him a hand!)

It's you, I know this because I've replaced all my files with freah ones and reloaded the FMP and it worked fine. I don't know why it wont work for you though. I do know (and may want to backup your files to try) that starting with unaltered files sometimes works, and if it does you should reload your mods. That's all I can tell you.

Tell me if this works. It's the one I use, never had any problems with it. If it works for you, I'll replace the one on the first post, if not, try what I suggested (note, before you do backup all your files, then reinstall and then try it).

I just grabbed the first staff anims I could find. Thank you for improving it all though.

how do you add the staffs to the game. i clicked load mod package and chose staff set 1 but where is it supposed to show up? i do that and then i add the staffs to shops and it crashes. i dont get it! and also which file backs up this mod because im worried that if i backed the file up i can never get pass the first bowerstone part and my game is screwed.

You have to get all of the three mods he has, if you want them i the shops.

First, though, you must have Blue's Staff Animation BETA to use
the staves correctly. And he said you have to start a new file in order to get the staves in the shops, or else it'll crash.

He doesn't know why.

umm......who is blue and i am still reletavley new so im not getting this can you be more detailed.
i did star a new file and what is the backup file for these mods and will i be able to play the game ever again if i backed up the file?

The animations i belive are in this section.

Blue = BlueTooth, he's a great guy. He's called BlueTooth and also
his acoount is called BlueTooth. You can find him by searching
"BlueTooth".

Staffs to game: Spawn them, chest-spawn, add to inventory

Staff in towns: Answered it. You have to put the staves in the game FIRST

What to backup: Everything

ok thanks and 2 more questions: if i backed up and made a mistake with the shop mod i cant't play pass the first bowerstone part
and how do u chest spawn?
