Hello
Recently I got bored with simple definition editing and started to jump on to the field of graphic editing.
I got the 3ds max 8 and ripped a master chief model from halo 2 for vista
and...
uhh
..............
I really don't know what to do from here.
I searched for threads on armor modding and found this thread.
http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=36409& amp; amp;&srch=3ds+max+armor#msg_36409
and people here seemed to know what they were talking about, however, there weren't much information mentioned since Salamandr0 had a good understanding that no one needed to mention the details.
and I was discouraged furthermore when i saw this

It's not for the weak of heart. And there is no easy tutorial.

Whew....
But you know, I'm a guy who loves a challange and have all the time in the world I need
So, here's what I have figured out so far.
1. I'll need to tear apart the master chief model into shirt, helmet, trousers, boots and gloves
2. I'll have to purchase a program that will convert the 3ds max save file format into whatever Fable TLC accepts
3. I fidget around with the fable explorer later to tidy up
Well, It'd take some time for me to get to part 2 since i don't have enough money to buy the software, so I need to work on part one.
So would anyone kindly post me some answers walking me through this 3ds max utility or a link that will lead me to the right track?
thank you
