I think that the best thing to do if you have on-topic and off-topic conversations going in the same thread it's best to throw them (the off-topic ones) in a spoiler. Cuts down on the length of the post quite a bit.

Really anybody who knows JohnDoe shouldn't be shocked at this comment. Although it wasn't said, it was implied that this was a disrespectful comment and such and such. Really I don't think it is because it's just a "what if" scenario. If it was intended to be disrespectful coming from JohnDoe, you could count on it containing ALOT of degrading comments, swearing, and/or humiliation of Fable Generation. Another thing, he very well may have grabbed his whiskey and ran off to a whore house after he posted that last comment. I would.
