Would be handy if you would also post the .x file.
So if anyone wants, he/she can take a look at it.

Hm, I get nothing when I import in 3ds max.
I have seen this before, but I am no expert on this whole export/import x file stuff...
I know JohnDoe has looked into it a bit, or Morerunes might know more.

[edit]
Also, athough I know some members (wink wink) don't like 3ds max much, I do suggest grabbing yourselve a copy of it.
Makes creating stuff for Fable that much easier.
All the tutorials needed, are there as well.

I got it in 3DS. I'll take care of this when I have some free time.
If it's alright by you, I wouldn't mind mapping it to existing Fable textures. I can do it in such a way that it looks Fable-ish.

Yeah well. You can get a trial version of 3ds max.

As for piracy, (without saying you should pirate 3ds) I do believe autodesk gains with people pirating 3ds...

I'm going to make a new guide.

Until then...

Making your mesh ready for fable, continued:

If your mesh appears jumbled when you import to FE or CBox, (like the handle is too small and shoved away from the blade), then there are some steps to fix this.

Make sure all the objects are centered at (0,0,0). To do this, select all the objects, press shift+c, then in one of the tabs at the bottom of blender there should be a "Center Cursor" button or something like that, that will bring the center of the objects to where the cursor is (which should be at the center of the grid after pressing shift+c).

After that, select a part of the mesh, and hit control+a, and click on "visual transform to rotation, scale, and translation" or something like that, then press control+a again and click the first option. Do that to each of the other pieces one by one until you have done it to all the pieces. After that, try exporting again.

I just make a box at origin for each piece and attach each piece one at a time. Then delete the box. Razz
It's lame, but it works too.

hmm, that's a cool idea!

I think a better idea would be to add an empty at (0,0,0) and then attach all of it to the empty, that way there's nothing you'd need to delete
