User error.

Be sure to use the fix after using the other.
Be sure that you are spawning this correctly. Bad script leads to crash.

Rialdaran, i know this mod works because i used it.

If you spawned it in a chest, then share the script. Because it's probably wrong it if crashes your game.

FreeRoam is a useful tool, i'd use it. But the only software you really need to install this and spawn it in a chest is ChocolateBox. Alternatively, Fable Explorer and Albion Explorer.

Hey this is only my 2nd post but i use projectego a lot so i usually know what i'm doing but i have a question. i'm pretty sure i saw that the mask is equipped as a hat so you look like the dude from the intro right? well i was wondering if it would be possible to equip it as a beard so i can wear my bandit bandanna at the same time. i know there'd probably be some scripting thing with beards that'd make the whole thing screw up but if it's possible i'd love to have it. Thanks everybody! [except the blind noobs that keep asking where to find it in-game... Evil or Very Mad ]

Yes, just make it a beard. Rolling Eyes

Read this. In the CAppearanceModifier, change the body slot used to only lower face, then make sure the bandit hat uses only the upper face or upper and middle face body slots.
Then add the "beard" to the barber's inventory.

It should be just that easy, I don't have my files on this machine yet so there may be a bit more to it, but I really do think that's it.

Aye how do I explain this one... =]

The .bin files for PC vs. Xbox are different. Hunter (so very nice of him) allowed the option for platform detection and the ability to read the byte differences between the checksums or "Control Bytes" as they were termed. The PC has 4 byte checksums while the Xbox (Only TLC version, original Xbox:Fable is 4 byte as well :\) is 1 byte. That method worked until we fleshed out a lot of the file types and then we found that Lionhead changed the damn order and types of definition file. So a new xml was created for Xbox (it is very out of date, Leviathan-Ran claims to be working on a update. Load xml into Fable Explorer and play around with what you can.

.Biz <-> .Big Find Fable Tools and it will decompress .biz (Zlib compressed .big) to .big and vice versa. make sure you name the files correctly (extensions etc)
have a look here: Fable: The Lost Chapters Mod Scene: Work In Progress => Xbox Xml & Xbox Mods There are various xbox mods and I required them to be tagged as such amongst the forums. The directions are there, I dropped most of my public xbox work because really I didn't have time to do both and now I don't have time for one :\

Load the fix included in the first post. It's referred to as a category fix, so I imagine it makes it a hat instead of a shirt.

You can take a condescending tone to me if you want, but it won't help you.
If this is the case, you can fix it manually.
Find the OBJECT entry and open it.
Look through the CDefs and find the CAppearanceModifierDef, open that.
Scroll down until you see something like SuitPart. Change it to 1.
Click Apply Changes, close the entry.
Now, go back to the OBJECT entry, CDefs, this time open CInventoryItemDef. Find something labeled UselfRemoved and change it to 3518 (I think, make sure it says OBJECT_HERO_NO_HAT or something like that).
Click Apply Changes.
Save Mods and Run Fable.

No point. It's just the top of the assassin shirt but made as a hat. If you are concerned on whether it works or not, don't worry. I've tested this mod and it works, and Keshire wouldn't release a faulty mod.

It doesn't need to be there in ChocolateBox to spawn it. Just make the script say the OBJECT_*** code. Which is OBJECT_HERO_MASK_STEALTH.

Scroll down to the very bottom of the OBJECT entries, it should be there. ChocolateBox sorts entries numerically by ID, FableExplorer sorts entries alphanumerically, so things don't get placed the same way.

If it's not there, I smell Vista issue.

Or you learn to use your OS. Read the full thread, search around for other, more recent Vista/Windows 7 topics. And delete the Fable files in your Virtual Store first (again, read the full thread).

hey there, sorry for bumping an old post, but i have just reopened my game case for fable tlc, for nostalgia purposes as well as to add mods to it to spice it up. ive followed all the instructions to properly add the assassins mask to my character via guard item drop, and everytime i go to pick it up, my game crashes. ive allowed FE full access to all my files, and ive even reinstalled fable tlc to another folder in my c drive. can anyone help me troubleshoot this mod, because every other mod ive added works fine.
thank you for your suppo

EDIT: i actually use shadownet instead of FE.

EDIT: i have actually solved my problem by downloading the mod package v2 from oldboy. im going to assume that this item doesnt allow droppable armor. thanks anyways and hope this helps
