Helo everybody, I am adrigd from Spanish Fablemod(http://fablemod.forosactivos.com/)

Before anything, I must say two things:

1- My level of english is not very good, I will try to write well, but excuse me if I commit mistakes.

2- Your mods are great, fantastic. Thank you very much for your works.

That said, I start with my "mod":

I create, with the collaboration of other member from my web, an alternative soundtrack for Fable The Lost Chapters. This new spoundtrack is composed with pieces from Final Fantasy, Sleepy Hollow, Icewind Dale, Mononoke Hime, etc.

I know that the OST of Fable is good, but I think this new soundtrack is better. In my opinion is fantastic; very recommended.

I put you some of this new songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzz5cVt70j8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW5r1QWMF9Q

Of course, the new soundtrack is in good audio
quality.

Music that I've changed:

- Main menu
- Oakvale
- Heroes Guild
- Lookout Point
- Bowerstone
- Greatwood
- Darkwood
- Hobbe cave
- Witchwood
- Temple of Light (Avo)
- Knothole glade
- The Arena
- Demonic Doors (Is the same music of the Temple of Light)
- Bargate
- Lychfield
- Hook Coast
- Lost bay (The same music of Hook Coast)

Download: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GX5D21D6 (55mb)

New download: http://www.mediafire.com/?wonz2mymdzy

Instalation instructions:

1- Make a backup of the folder called "sound" (/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Fable The Lost Chapters/Data)

2- Download the new soundtrack and extract the .rar file

3- Copy the content of the new soundtrack folder in "sound" folder(/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Fable The Lost Chapters/Data), except the .jpg file.

4- Replace the files with the same name.

5- Start the game.

The instalation is very easy. If you don´t like this mod, replace the folder sound with the backup.

I hope you like. Smile

Hey adrigd, welcome to FableTLCMod. Things are slowing down a bit, so it's good to have new people. Smile

Your English is good, you should not have any problems with that. If you want, you can write your post in English and Spanish, and if someone has a problem understanding, I can translate for you.

And that sounds like a great alternate soundtrack, nice compilation. Smile

Very nice work here. Love the mononoke sound track.

May I ask what program did you use to convert the file to .ogg .

Because each time I convert one I keep getting lots of noise on

the output file even after I put the quality on very high.

I am using mp3->ogg converter that I found on Google.

I am using ost from X-Blades now since the file(s) are already in .ogg .

Thanks.

I use Easy CD-DA Extractor, I think it is the best, but is not free.

Darkened soul:
Still getting noise, maybe I am using it wrong.
Strangely enough when I convert .wav to .ogg the result is magnificent.

adrigd :
Well thank you , but I preferred free .
I am sure there is one out there with good quality.
Just have to keep on searching.
Google has become my new best friend Very Happy .

I don't get this "Noise" of which you speak of. Everything i've converted has been fine.

If you want I could attach the converted file here so you could listen for yourself.

The .rar size is about 4MB. Haven't tried with .zip .

No. Don't upload a compressed ogg, mp3 or wma. These formats are already compressed like a png except much better. If you rar them, the filesize goes up and anyone who downloads it has to first unrar it to use it. And that just pisses me off.

Upload the file as is.

Hmmm, very good idea. I'll also make an alternative OST, but unfortunately won't be uploading it here due to my connection being a useless dial-up.

Could you not have asked for this in general mod discussion instead of necroposting on a thread that's been dead for 2 years? I understand your want for this mod, but honestly, you could have read the rules first and checked dates. Rolling Eyes

Read the site rules, as well as individual thread rules, stickies and announcements, and use search, or you will have smartassy or exasperated ownage rained down upon you by the site's crack team of mods and admins. Also, you can find all you need to get started on modding here.
