I just got fable tlc yesterday and i'm new to modding. When i mod a weapon or add a weapon, will it do the same to any other files i have in the game? If so, is there anyway to prevent it?

Ok. Any changes made with Fable Explorer (your main modding tool) are permanent. FE directly changes the game files.
Therefore making backups is the first thing you should do before you start changing anything!
-> How mods change the files depends on the mod itself. Some alter existing stuff, others add new stuff to the game.
-> Anything you change yourself with FE will change your current game, unless you add things.
-> Since you're new, you'll have to do some reading first. Start here.
-> If you have backups, you don't have to be afraid to screw stuff up.
this is not an exit.

sorry i wasn't specific. I meant, if you change, for example, the damage of a weapon or add a weapon, will it change it for all save games. I think it does but is there anyway to prevent it and make the change for only one save game?

If anyone here has star wars knights of the old republic 1 or 2 and uses mods on it most likely knows about kse (kotor save game editor). Would it be possible to do something like that for fable. It allows you to select a save game to edit and then you edit that specific save game.

What I really would like to see is a app that strips tng data from save files so you don't need to start a new game when editing maps
