So a few days ago I decided to start a large weapon mod in which I plan to release. So with this mod I have a few new models and a ton of new textures. I'd like to avoid any snags, so please answer the following:

1. Will I need to package the new models and textures up with the mod package or will they already be included?

2. As it is, I'm importing my models and textures from my desk top.
A: Will this require others to have the models and textures on their desktop?
B: Should I move them to the Fable folder and be importing them from there?

1: Yes. You have to include every new entry you make in the fmp.
More info on creating proper fmp's can be found here somewhere near the end of the first post.
2AB: No.

But as for the actual .dds and .X files, do I need to package those up?

There's a little trick with Fable Explorer to see what's inside an fmp.

Rename mod.fmp to mod.big, and in FE click 'file' and 'open', then open the mod.big.
Double click on the mod.big in the upper left corner in FE.

I use this feature every now and then to see why a mod might be broken, or to see what a mod actually modifies.
