Thanks for the answers.

Can using Free Roam mess it up even if done correctly?
I think I read somewhere that Chocolate box does the free roam thing for you as well.
So if I reinstall I'll just take ownership of everything change it to run as admin and then run chocolate box and see what happens.

Time to spend the next hour of my life hunched over a computer screen ^^;.
