Request List - morerunes

Key
Green = Completed
Teal = In Progress
Red = Requested and not Denied

.lev File Editing
Effects Editing

TNG Map Editing
CHeroMorphDef and CAppearanceModifierDef Explanation

Rotating Weapon Helpers

You can request a tutorial here.

If you do so, first make sure that it isn't already out there by searching and reading this thread, and remember that searches can be made forum-specific to make it easier to find things.
If you make a request, be specific in what you want to accomplish.

Also note that this is not a mod request forum, we have one of those here.

How about a scripting tutorial with a list of common and/or useful scripts and what they do? I'd Make it myself, but the only ones I know are the statue master scripts and the script for the caged balverine in the arena.

That'd be a good one. I've got a lot going on now, as most of us here do, but later on, I intend to write up a full piece on TNGs, an authoritative work that covers as much on scripting as possible. I had a large piece of it done once, but that was many computer failures, reformats, and haphazard events ago. Luckily, it won't be too hard to rebuild, I just need the time to do it.

The ghost sword is a creature. You can spawn it like any other creature with a little work. Marcopolo made two groups of ghost swords, and he made one of them an enemy, that's why they're fighting each other, something that the ghost swords spawned through the spell don't do. Not really worthy of it's own hyped up guide.

I didn't forget. It's a lot of stuff to parse and document, and right now all I can give you is a list of files that this documentation is still split in, all still a work in progress:

Toggle Spoiler

It really, really is a lot to document. That and I don't have as much free time as I'd like, but I'll get it to you when I can.

Be more specific. What would you like to do?

Is there an existing weapon mod you'd like to use? What is it? Do you want to mod a weapon yourself? What would you like to do to it?

Vague people receive no help.

Download the FMP and load it in Fable Explorer.

Then use either method 1 or 2.

1. Spawn a chest.

2. Find the number for the item you loaded in the OBJECT branch of game.bin, then go to the CREATURE entry for the Hero (1470) and put in the number of the weapon in the field "Weapon 0".

Also, please learn to post in the right place.

Aye, this thread is for requests of guides/tutorials/references that don't exist yet, not for requests of stuff that we already have a plethora of.

You put it wherever the hell you bloody want it, and load it in Fable Explorer.

This is a place to request non-existing tutorials, not ones that have been written many times before - and probably by your grandmother.

First off I'm sorry for posting in the wrong section
and secondly most of the non character weapons, minion and hob weps, don't have a flourish (right click do a stronger attack) and I was wondering how one might go about adding one to them

Alright I realise this is an old topic and it's been dead for several months, but I want to request a tutorial, and this thread is stickied. So here I go. I want a tutorial explaining how to add helpers to a weapon in blender and how to set them so that the weapon is gripped properly. I'm sick of not having this knowledge, and as such having rather limited modding pathways. =/

Read the site rules, as well as individual thread rules, stickies and announcements, and use search, or you will have smartassy or exasperated ownage rained down upon you by the site's crack team of mods and admins. Also, you can find all you need to get started on modding here.

You can't do helpers in Blender, you have to do it by hand in notepad. morerunes has plenty of material out there already.

I suppose this is a tutorial request, it appears in my mad attempts to re-do the Hero's Guild Complex Interior I've torn down the whole building leaving a bunch of fairly confused people standing around and a guild master who I can tell desperately wants to give me a new quest card.

My question, request for help (if there is a help section I apologize I didn't see one) is there anyway to restore that particular map? I didn't make a back up of the map itself but I do have back-ups of all the other files suggested. Can I somehow go through them without having to remove every other mod I've done?

thanks!

You can get a new copy of the finalalbion.wad off your retail disk. Then redo FreeRoam to get new tngs. The link in my sig about back-ups tells which disk it is on. If you have other modded regions that you want to keep, put copies of them somewhere, then paste them over the new tngs.

Alright here's a good one. How to do UV mapping in blender. All I've served to do is infuriate myself and fubar my window. The only thing I DID manage to figure out is how to add the UV mapping layer, which actually helped me get what I was doing visible in fable. But other than that I'm lost. Sad

We make tutorials for Fable modding. That involves using our tools and Fable file editing. We're not going to cover using 3DS/Maya/Blender or Photoshop/Gimp/Paintshop Pro because there are already tons of tutorials out there for that.

I'm fairly certain most trees aren't accessible through the tng, however I could be wrong. Anyway, in cbox to delete an object, you select it and hit the delete key. I think. Been a while since I broke that out in all truth.

Very hope you can help me with this question and thanks in advance.
