For starters, you do not restore backups while FE is open. Unless you're using ShadowNet's built-in restore function, and I take it that you weren't. FE locks the files, it holds onto them, you can't mess with the files outside of FE while FE has them open.

The rest is user error, not with the tools but with the operating system.
