Hi !

I have a little texture problem.
My Idea is to make a sword with one side avo's tear, and the other the sword of aeon.
Like this :

But between the two sides, there're some problems. So I tried to find it by making the place between the two sides in green:

But I still have the problem, that you can see clearly here :

Were do this unwanted bands come from ??

If you mean the weird color deformation on the bottom, I don't know. but frankly it looks fine if you don't pay attention to it. And why fill in the middle with green? the sword of aeons and Avo's tear BOTH have an empty space in them.

I think you just watched the wrong picture. The problem is on the 3rd one.
Here, to make it very clear :

But yes, the gap between the two has to be black.
But there was this little band, strip, whatever, in the middle. So to find out, what was causing this problem, I put the gap in green. Only for that reason. In the final version, the gap wouldn't be in green, of course.
But I still can't see why this is so weird. Confused

you just colored something that doesn't exist, maybe thats why.

Forgive me for this being a little off topic, but if I were to color that hexagon hole in the avenger red to try to make it look like a ruby, it would cause problems?

Purple is the invert of green, and because DXT1 is lovely in the way it is, some distortion of solids on a regular texture will be expected.

As for editing the blank spot on the Avenger texture, it wouldn't cause problems, it just wouldn't show up, see, it isn't there. There's nothing there. It calls for a mesh edit.
