Description.WARNING:LARGE TEXT BLOCK!There once was an Oakvale smith, who was constantly attempting to revolutionize his work. One day he came up with an idea to combine all of Albion’s styling’s into one sword. So he set himself to work forging a sword with the cruciality of Hook Coast, the ornate craftsmanship of Bowerstone, the simplicity of Oakvale, the oddness of Knothole Glade, and the mystery of Snowspire. He worked on it nonstop for a fortnight, until finally he was done. The result was like nothing Albion had ever seen. It was a black blade; cool to the touch though it had never gone through the obsidian re-forging process. It had many a curve, and it was long and broad, with an excellent tip. Something seemed amiss about it though, as if there was an evil presence emanating from it. He decided to test its cut, as that would surely root out any flaw with the blade. He took the blade to his wrist, and attempted to cut it. As soon as the blade touched his skin, he felt as if a tiny piece of his soul was wrenched out from inside of him. Forcing himself to continue, he finished the cut, only to watch as his hand disintegrated, ripped apart molecule by molecule. Realizing the terrible power this sword contained, he raced to find a way to get rid of it. Finally he formulated a plan. That night he waited until midnight, then he snuck out of the town, through Barrow Fields, and deep into the forests of Darkwood. Finally, he found the perfect spot, in the very center of the great demon forest. He dug a hole about ten feet deep, then dumped the soul sucking blade into the great pit, and covered it with a vast mound of dirt. There the blade rest, for over fifty years, and slowly the evil energies of Darkwood and the tormented souls of its victims fed the blade, giving it more power than thought possible, until it nearly rivaled the Sword of Aeons. And now you have found it, and its evil power now creeps into your soul, corrupting and pervading your mind.
Enjoy!

The New Fabled Ravrn wrote on Mon, 11 April 2011 20:01 | First of all, let me say I like this weapon, and the others you've made.
I start with that because, even though the models aren't bad, they can definitely use some improvement.
That being said, the use of existing (right?) textures make's it look that much better.
Good work, keep it up
|
Thanks. And yes I did use existing textures, this is just a heavily edited longsword.
Soric wrote on Mon, 11 April 2011 22:43 | I think it looks totally wicked but, it would be better if it had more of a metallic look to it.
|
I did have a metallic look to it at first, but it dampened the coloring and was overly reflective.
