I don't know what the problem with that sword is, but it isn't the mesh. I did my own edit to it, adding helpers properly, and it still crashed the game. I noticed your cweapondef and object were titled the same thing, maybe that's it?

I guess you should just try making it again? 0.o Also, export the model, and on the bottom of the helpers before your four parentheses at the end of the model, put these helpers in.(Open the model with notepad.)
