Are you asking if your version is corrupt or something? Or did you retexture it and are asking if your version looks better?
The one in Marco's thread does seem more orange than yours. That could be a problem with the textureID number if you didn't retexture it I guess.

when i downloaded it it looked like this, and i was wondering if the texture was messed up or if it was corrupt, basically wondering what went wrong

Go to the Graphic entry and the Materials tab and see what the "Base Texture ID" is. Find that number in textures.big to see what it is, or just open textures.big and see what the ID#'s for the weapon are, there are 2 (should be at the bottom of the list), then put those 2 ID#'s in Materials. For me, the higher ID# is on Hammer_1, and the lower on Hammer_2.

maybe i should load the fmp again because when i searched for the mesh i got the ice nevershatter mesh

What it looks like to me is that it is using the wrong texture. That's about all I can think of.

strangely the only texture i can find is for the ice nerveshatter

Right, but check the mesh to see if that texture is assigned to the mesh because the ice version isn't supposed to look like that either.

yah the mesh has the ice texture and the texture is linked to the mesh.
