Hi Everybody ! Very Happy

I'd like to edit, change some sounds (not musics, I know where they are and how Cool ) in Fable TLC.
I think the sounds are ".LUG" in "..\Fable - The Lost Chapters\data\Sound", but I don't know how to edit them. Sad
Fable Explorer doesn't open them... Sad
And what are the ".MET" ? Confused

Anyone could help me ?

Thanks a lot in advance Wink

The METs are the metadata for LUGs. Think of the LUG as the storage for the sounds and the MET as the way the game knows which sounds to use and where. But there is no user-friendly way of doing what you want. We have a few tools, look for Silver's MetEdit in his misc tools thread. Should warn you, there's no support for it and not many people (likely none) will be able to help you with it.

I know there's a bit of info on the lug files in the wiki, but if I remember right it's pretty much just the style it's written in. Rolling Eyes

Read the site rules, as well as individual thread rules, stickies and announcements, and use search, or you will have smartassy or exasperated ownage rained down upon you by the site's crack team of mods and admins. Also, you can find all you need to get started on modding here.

The sound thing is a codec issue. Download the xbadpcm codec, we have it on the site somewhere...

If you're feeling bold, there's ShadowNet FE w/sound. It's quite bugged and, honestly, it probably won't work. But you can try it out. It has functionality to preview, export and import sounds. Again though, it's buggy and doesn't like to work. I really wouldn't recommend using this for anything beyond looking at the sound files.

There are a lot of tools for swapping sounds, my understanding was that you wanted to edit the archives themselves, perhaps add new sounds. But glad you got it figured out.
