Give a link to the mod you are asking about please.
Have you gotten other mods to work using FE, or is this the 1st attempt?

I apologize, i found the problem. There was an issue with the download, so i downloaded it again and it worked, but i have another question. http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=7934& ;start=0&
Those bastard swords, it doesn't say whether you have to start a new character for them to appear in shops, or even if they appear in shops at all... I'm confused.

As it says:

Spawn as:
OBJECT_IRON_BASTARD_SWORD
OBJECT_STEEL_BASTARD_SWORD
OBJECT_EBONY_BASTARD_SWORD
OBJECT_CRYSTAL_BASTARD_SWORD

That means you have to put them in a chest or directly into the hero's inventory or add them to a shop manually.

Thanks, I assumed it was in the shop because it said something about the value of the weapon, or price. Sorry.

I do include the values of all my items in mods, but I don't put any in shops. The reason is that for the edit to appear in the shop, you have to start a new game, and each mod would override the same shop. But it's there in case someone wants to put together a compilation pack (like New Item Pack) and throw the items in a shop (like GWP did).

Now I'm having another issue.
Whether it be bastard swords, or that animated cape.
It seems if i put anything into a chest (already on the map or one i made with chocolate box) that is a modded weapon. It crashes the game before i receive it... Any idea why?

Bad script. Post it and we'll tell you what's broken.

Script? If you mean for the mod, it's your bastard sword mod.
If you mean the chest, i used chocolate box....
I also attempted to put it on my fable character, and it would crash every time i loaded my save.

You are making a user error somewhere.

If the game crashes upon entering the region with the chest, that means it's a bad chest script, but as you used ChocolateBox to place it then there is another issue. If it was the item inside the chest, namely my swords, then the game wouldn't crash until opening the chest, not when entering the region. If the game crashes when you try to spawn the weapon in your inventory, you've either used the wrong ID number or you put it in the wrong place.

As JohnDoe said this is not a fault with a mod, that script is broken somehow, but unless you give us something to work with we can't really do much.

There is no point to it's being.
I wish there was a reason.
There is nothing in the Void,
But what we put there.

Im confused as to what script you mean? I loaded the FMP, do you mean the tng of the level i put the weapon on?
Also, i managed to put the iron bastard sword into a barrel, but once it was in my inventory it showed up as a ranged weapon and when i equipped it it crashed the game.

Well that certainly sounds like a bug. While I highly doubt it is from my mod, I am responsible to check and see. Sadly this means I have to install Fable, again, so this may take some amount of time.

No need to apologize, if there's a bug then there's a bug. Can't be helped. That said, the issue is not with my mod. Just installed, made my backups, did my usual setup routine getting everything ready for modding, loaded my mod, and everything works just fine. They come up as melee weapons, they behave as melee weapons, and there are no crashes when receiving or using them.

Unrelated and shameless side-note, I know we're not really supposed to do this because it can be arrogant, but when I looked at my mod this time, I smiled. I'm quite proud of those swords, as simple a mod as it is.

Sometimes this is necessary, and appropriate. Smile
