Well, considering you got that screenshot from this thread, I would imagine you used the final version of the mod therein. Rolling Eyes

Read the site rules, as well as individual thread rules, stickies and announcements, and use search, or you will have smartassy or exasperated ownage rained down upon you by the site's crack team of mods and admins. Also, you can find all you need to get started on modding here.

not weeks, I believe it's under jack's SOA sword glows, I believe it's labeled something like "JACK_SWORD_GLOW_MAX". Something along those lines.
EDIT: Just so you know, that's a permanent effect. Don't use it in the CObjectAugmentationDef, set it as a flourish effect in your weapon's CWeaponDef.

Ok, i'm now trying to do an explosion effect as oldboy said in a post:

Ok since I was bored I looked into this.
My 'how-to' above isn't correct, but it can be done.
And I must say, I actually kinda liked what I found.
A little hard to make proper screenshots of the whole thing, but I tried a couple of explosions and some look pretty good!

Anyway the correct way of adding an explosion to a melee weapon is as follows:
-> In the game.bin you have a list of THINGS, open them up and find one that says THING_***_EXPLOSION and remember it's ID number.
-> Look up the weapon you want to change OBJECT_*** and open it's CWeaponDef.
-> There's an empty label Explosion, put the ID number from the THING_***_EXPLOSION in there.
-> The THING_***_EXPLOSION has it's own CDefs, among them is the CExplosionDef in which you can edit the physical and visual effects of the explosion.

For proper editing I'd recommend making new entries for this (a new THING entry, a new CExplosionDef entry, also a new CWeaponDef and perhaps a new OBJECT entry).
Since most of these entries are used in the game by enemies.

only issue is i dont see explosion? Any idea?

-Edit forgot to link my screenshot http://img.techpowerup.org/120225/Capture1030.jpg
-Edit 2 , i also can't find these sword glows... are they in the CWeaponDef of jacks SOA?

No, they aren't in jack's SOA cweapondef. Just look for an entry that looks like the guess I took in the above post in effects.big.
As for explosions, scroll down in FE, there should be a grouping labeled EXPLOSIONS. Find the one you want, get its ID number, then in the cweapondef of the weapon you wish to edit, find the entry labeled explosion, and put your ID in there.

Must be an out of date def.xml because I KNOW it's in the cweapondef. See about looking through the unknowns, maybe one of them will link to a game.bin entry, if it does, that might be it.
