I was wondering if morerunes tutorial works for the newest version of blender because I think I saw somewhere that the new one has horrible directx support.

The new one can export directx, but it can't import it. The support is actually pretty decent on the export side, and according to this thread it now supports the exporting of skinweights. At least for 2.5. This should have carried over to 2.6, but it may not have. I think the tutorial is still valid as long as you don't need to import anything. Wink

So please, feel free to give it a go.
