I have never used cbox, so I can't tell you if that is the problem, but it is on your end, the mod works fine. Maybe try the mod on unmodded game files to see if there is a conflict with another mod you have applied, if any.

I know some mods made with cbox can not be applied using FE, it is possible that the reverse is true also.

You may want to put forth the effort to figure out why FE won't work for you. You can try to use FE again and see what errors you get, then search those errors to find a fix, it is here somewhere I would think.
