Eyes for good alignment? [message #69908] Wed, 18 December 2013 19:48 Go to next message

I was wondering if there is a way I could create an entry that would change the appearance of the hero's eyes when he has good alignment, similar to how his eyes turn red when his alignment is evil. If it can be done how could I implement it?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'm a little rusty, but I think if you use shadownet FE, open game.bin and edit 10535 - CCreatureMorphDef you can add an entry to the DE9B0516 texture morph list.

For good, I think it uses 6, 6, 0, 2 for the unknowns as shown in the image I attached. Try adding a new entry into that list with the base eye texture and the replacement one and that should do it.

So it seems that fable explorer has trouble displaying all of the entries at once there, and it will make it more difficult to add this. One option would be to simply replace one of the texture alterations (such as evil arms) with a good eye replacement. Or, if you don't mind doing a bit of fooling around with a hex editor it should be relatively easy to splice in the extra entry. If you want me to take a crack at it let me know, just give me a cool texture to use.

Sorry for the late reply! Actually, adding an entry to texture morph list worked perfectly. Thanks for the help!
