When starting Fable from FE, you will always get that error unless you have a no-cd exe, even if you have the disc in...

It means nothing, it's a negligible thing, it's not an issue, it's not an error, it's expected and it's nothing wrong. You would know that had you sifted through the other 100 splash.exe threads which can be found by searching.

Lessons learned: All of your problems have already happened, have been brought to the forum's attention, have been resolved, and have been redirected to ever since because people can't use search.
