Does the game crash, as in close and go to the desktop? Or does the game freeze, as in freezing on an open chest?
Did you apply the fmp?(seems obvious, but I have to ask, it's happened before).
If you did apply the fmp using cbox, maybe try applying it using Fable Explorer instead.

I just tested the mod and the chest script and they worked fine. I used FE.
