 need help spawning chest [message #49913] |

I have read just about every thread on this site about spawning chest and high jacking them. I can do neither. I have followed the instructions to the letter and tried to figure it out on my own. Could someone help me figure out what is going wrong?

Ok, what happens is:
1)I load the tng's with the free roam app.
2}Then I choose one to open (like guild demon door or something)
3) I right click then open with notepad.
4) I scroll down and find container contents under the object_chest_openable section.
5) I then enter what I want to replace the object_master_health..... with something like object_gold_1000(as an example, I have tried other stuff too).
6a)when I am done I click the exit button and then the yes do save changes button.
6b)Or I do all that but change the UID first.
7a)Now I save and exit out of free roam app and open fable load a save, and no change to what is in the chest.
7b)Or do all that but make new profile and start new game, but still no change.
Does that even make sense?

Alright, first this: The FreeRoam app dumps the contents of the FinalAlbion.wad and serves no further purpose. Like WinZip, it extracts the contents of the zip and you close it because you don't need it anymore.
Second, did you rename the FinalAlbion.wad?
Last, where did you dump the contents of the FinalAlbion.wad? What does your levels directory look like? Give me a file list, not some pansy-ass "uhh, it looks fine" statement.| Jeff42951 wrote on Sun, 15 March 2009 16:07 |
