Okay, here's my request. I'm sick and tired of the plate armor always looking like stone, plastic, or chocolate. So first I want a plate armor that looks like it's actually made out of metal as it's supposed to be. Second I really don't care for the cloth on the plate armors. Seriously, in a real fight those places would be major weak points. So I'd like the metal armor to have either mail to replace the cloth, or more plates. If someone could fulfill this request, I would really appreciate it.

Okay I've got a problem with the big jwc posted. I tried merging that BIG file with my textures.big but, it caused FE to freeze.(Please note that on this and the following instance I gave FE several minutes to load but it just became a flat out non-responsive program.) So, after that I tried loading it into FE through File/Open so maybe I could find the problem in there. I got the same thing. Also there were no error messages at all with it. It just froze once it tried to load the BIG.If someone could please sort this out for me, or if jwc would be willing to pm me with the files he used to replace those textures, I would really appreciate it.

I gave it ten minutes with both methods, oni. Maybe as far as twenty. I don't wait just two seconds and say it froze. I like being thorough. I'm sorry if the previous statements seemed rude, but frankly I'm blunt and try to cut to the chase as quickly as possible in conversation. Modding however, If something goes wrong, I double check, and wear out every last option that comes to mind before posting on the forums. So yeah... I'm POSITIVE it froze.

And remember, change Alpha to 0 after you load the texture.

I know. But anyway I tried it and it works now! Now if I could just get the metal look thing you told me to do to work.

How do you want the helmet to be be recolored? yes
With chainmail look, or just the same color as the plate? the color as the plate  ...in this way would have the complete set, but not many put up retextures of the helmet like as in this case and that is frustrating 
can you put the retext for me??

Png is same quality, handles most things better, and has a smaller file size.
