To put it simple, I want to know a way to create a custom effect.
I've looked far and wide and found nothing on the subject.
Now, maybe I didn't look far enough and this question is stupid, but the reason I want to do this is because I want to make an effect that simulates fire in a different way.

Effects. You take an effects entry, export it, edit the raw data in a hex editor. No scripting. It's not unlike editing things in FE, the only difference is that you're looking at a mess of hex digits instead and there's no structure. Well, Keshire might still have a structure up somewhere, search for it.
