A question about Chocolatebox [message #66076] Mon, 12 March 2012 20:50 Go to next message

I'm unable to post in the chocolatebox thread, but I'm having the same issue as steak described on the last page. Am I correct in assuming that it's because I already have mods installed? Do I need a clean install of the game?

Sorry to post a new thread, I couldn't find a real answer in any of the others. Maybe I overlooked something but i've been searching for a couple days now.

Thanks in advance!

Have you used Freeroam, and is Freeroam working (as in, can you walk past the invisible barriers)?

I haven't been able to get freeroam to work either. I assumed at first it was because I had to run as admin, but I tried that and still got this error:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Right, yeah, Freeroam won't work if you've edited your FinalAlbion.wad file at all (any minor editing mods, sound familiar?).

Assuming you have a backup of FinalAlbion.wad, just paste it over your edited one. If you don't, you can grab one off of one of your discs (it's on one of them, can't remember which but it shouldn't be to challenging to find).

I just reinstalled Fable instead. Hopefully it will work now. Will I be able to load my old mods again after I use freeroam?
