Heads Up

First of all, you need Skyrim installed on your computer in order to port weapons and/or armor.

1. With Skyrim installed on your computer, download the program BSAopt from here.

2. Extract the file using 7zip or WinRAR.

3. Run BSAopt x32.exe for 32-Bit or BSAopt x64.exe for 64-Bit. If unsure which one to run, go with 32-Bit.

4. In BSAopt, browse for the .bsa that you want to extract, usually located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data" for 64-Bit and "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data" for 32-Bit". You want to select "Skyrim - Meshes.bsa" first and unpack it, then select "Skyrim - Textures.bsa" and unpack that also.

5. Now you need to download "NifSkope" from
here, and install it.

6. In NifSkope, you need to click "Load" in the top left corner and load a mesh from the meshes folder from the extracted .bsa.

7. With a mesh loaded in NifSkope, select the main object (The weapon if you using a weapon) and click "File>Export>Export .OBJ". Save the .obj file somewhere easy to get to such as your desktop.

If you are making a weapon:
8. Open Blender (If you don't have blender, download it here) and go to "File>Open" and load Morerunes' weapon template. You can download the weapon template from here.

9. Now import the skyrim weapon as .obj and position it to fit well into the template. Delete the original sword and export as .x (to export as .x, go to "File>User Preferences>Addons" and scroll down to DirectX Model format and select it). Now import the model into Fable and now all you have to do is create several new entries to make the weapon complete. As of now, you can use a sword template (download below vv), and change the graphic of the weapon to your new weapon, and apply the texture. but remember to rename the template before loading the fmp again, otherwise, your weapon will be overwritten by the template.

(In case you didn't know already, you can load .dds files as textures. Just click ".bmp" when browsing for textures, and choose .dds for Skyrim textures.)

Here the tutorial ends, but I will probably add to it. Have fun making awesome stuff from Skyrim in Fable! Smile
