Instead of the Bleach mod, I am going to make a Fable In School Mod. You will be able to fight with other kids and you go up in years. Instead of swords and bows and stuff, I'm going to make gauntlets, catapults, water guns, BB guns and stuff. You can still Augment them and buy better ones. I'm going to make new skills that will allow you to do different moves e.g Tornado Kick;
I will make new animations and models.
I am going to try and make quite a big school, so there will be a variety of places to go. I am going to make it so you can go out of school(When old enough) and still rob from shops, kill people, most things really.
If anyone wants to help post here.

I have had experience in other types of coding. I learn quickly. I would want help from experienced fable modders though.

you know most of the stuff you are proposing not even the most skilled modders can do

there are currently no tools to add new animations or do new weapons of that caliber, the best you could do is probably a bow that shot with the waterfall effect

acting like youre so high and mighty just because you have modded other games will not make people like you around here and does not mean that you can mod fable well, start slow or you will completely screw yourself over.

He has a plan and he wants to pull through with it. That's nothing to scorn, Marco...Now, if he's just saying it to just say it, then perhaps it could be under some debate.

Personally, while not trying to put this mod down myself, I enjoy Fable's main story the way it is. It's a good break from seeing games that already have BB guns and such in it. And, as mentioned above, this would be a very difficult project. However, good luck to ya' all the same.

Yeah, BB guns seem a bit of a bad idea. I really wanted it to be like a school in animes. A school where you fight. Maybe a cross between Bully, KwonHo and RAN Online?

PS: My PC version of Fable hasn't arrived yet! Damn dodgy amazon.co.uk Lol

Ignore Marco. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask via the forums. That way

1)People don't bother me via pms.
2)Every one benefits from the answer.

As long as it hasn't been asked 900 times I'll gladly chip in my 2 cents and advice.

This is very doable if time consuming. Be aware that the child hero and other children may not have all the necessary anims for weapons.

Yeah i'm thinking of not using weapons, but using gloves as weapons instead? Different gloves = different damage if it's possible. If not, would i be able to make a model and set the animations to that? Or maybe rescale other models and reskin them.

PS: The child hero can swing the stick, so i think i could add a bat as a weapon.(A treasure or like a legendary weapon)

Ok, I tried to put my sword in the game but i'm not sure how to.
I would like an experienced Fable modder to add me to MSN: deenhaji@hotmail.com

PS: I may join a project first then do this after. I can 3d model,skin and do a bit of modding. If you want to see some of my work add me to MSN.

Do you have it in .x format with the correct helpers?

HierArchy:

MESH_NAME
->"Meshs"
Orphaned_Helpers
->"Helpers"

2 types of helpers. Dummy's (HDMY_) and Points (HPTN_)

Points don't store rotation (ie direction). Dummy's do.

When I get to work I'll list off dummies/points and what they do.

But off the top of my head weapons need:
HDMY_Weapon_Focus_01 (Attaches weapon to player's hand)
HPNT_weapon_pos_a
HPNT_weapon_pos_b (Game draws a line between point a and b to determine a hit)

I think thats for bows mostly.

You can export an existing mesh, take a look at how it's build up with the helpers. That's how I figured it out.
The importing itself is just a couple of mouseclicks away.

What do i do with all the LODs? Do i have to make my sword more than one object? And do i have to replace all the LODs? I can't see the helpers when i import the iron katana.
