I know this is a longshot and it will probably never happen, but I recently read an interview about Fable 2 which describes the main character having a dog that follows him everywhere and helps to attack and things like that. I was thinking it might be possible to add a mod in a mercinary that won't die or leave you, he could be altered to look like an animal. Not nescessarily a dog, could be anything...bear, tiger, wolf...although an in-game character like a balverine or a summoner would be more probable.

I once spawned a white balverine with the BRAIN_FOLLOW_PLAYER (I think thats the one).
It didn't do much in the way of attack and couldn't leave an area unfortunately but it did come galloping across the map towards you when you entered the area. It was in effect a massive white dog.
