I really like the last one! how'd you do the tranparent crystal on the outside of the second one though?

Call it a wild guess, but I'd say he used an alpha-enabled mesh on top of the regular mesh, and dare I say it, 32bit alpha textures.

EDIT: (Totally forgot to comment the mod)
Great stuff Marco.
Are you using specular maps on these?
They look good.

ok, next question then, how'd you get multiple meshes to show up in fable under one graphics.big entry? every time I try the second is invisible (yes, I give both a texture)

I don't know how Marco did it, but I know one way.

You use blender, right?

With blender, I think even if you import something that has four or five submeshes, I think it all comes out as one.

If you're good with a text editor, you should be able to export them both individually and put them together with some semi-extensive text work.

If you want to attempt this I suggest taking a look at some other things with a bunch of submeshes as a reference.

no, it exports correctly, I just can't get 'em to show in fable, only the first one appears

Really? Wow, I never could get Blender to export more than one submesh, it'll just throw it all under one thing.

But anyway, if it can do that, and it's textured and whatnot, what's the problem?

Set the outer mesh to Alpha enabled and make sure that the outer textures are 32bit alpha, and of course somewhat transparent.

First is the incomplete staff of sheogorath(that is completed in one of the court of madness quests,) second is the staff of worms from the oblivion mages guild finale, "The King Of worms." You loot the second one from the king of worms himself, otherwise known as mannimarco.

I spawned the staff of worms in a chest, and shot the fairy thing, then when she tries to summon undead, my game crashes. Any help?

Bug report here. I loaded up the mod and tried to put madgod staff into the hero's inventory as weapon one. But when I searched for it in that like "..." box, and then tried to insert it, it gave me this
"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

Specified cast is not valid."

Then when you hit details it pops up with this
Toggle Spoiler

However, putting in the code directly worked fine. The staff's awesome, by the way.

That makes it a FE bug, not a mod bug. I'm really not too sure on this, but I think it's an xml issue.

Hello, hopefully someone can help me out with this. I've tried loading the staves from this package, but I get the following error.

"Fable.exe has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

This happens when I try to run the game after 1) loading the fmp into FE, 2) saving and running the game from FE, 3) creating a new profile then quitting the game and 4) Hitting the OK button in FE that pops up after you save and run the fmp.

I'm running windows 7, if that matters.

It does! Razz It's an issue with your virtual store. You're confusing the game and it gets a headache and crashes.
I was modding another game and ran into this very same problem, and I found this site when looking for answers and came across this thread: http://fabletlcmod.com/forum/index.php?t=msg&th=8110& ;start=0&
Very useful, links to everything you need to know. And take care to read the second to last post for additional information. Smile

That's probably because there isn't a chest. Try, I dunno, spawning it. I know, such a novel idea.

Since you are apparently incapable of browsing through the tutorial section, here is a link to the stickied New to Modding Fable? thread. You can learn everything you need to know to start off there.
