I exported a model of a shirt using FE, and edited it with 3DSMAX. When i exported the finished model from MAX, i got a empty X file ie when i reopened the file there was nothing. This problem doesnt occur when i edit weapon models. Could anyone give me some hints plz? Many thanx.

1. I exported the model i wanted to edit using FE.
2. I imported the model into 3DSMAX then reshaped it, without change any other settings.
3. I exported a new X file.
4. When i imported the new model into graphics.big, i got an error.
5. When i imported the new model i just made into MAX, it was empty.

I tried Blender just now, but the exported X file could not be imported into graphics.big either. Is there any additional step other than reshaping the model needed when editing armor models?

Uhh, you probably have to re-apply any helpers and dummies it had, and you probably have to re-skinweight it. Did you do that? Confused

I found a tutorial for skinweights here, and as for helpers and dummies etc, you can copy those in notepad from the original version of the mesh you edited.
