This is a replacement of the current plate armour not a new item. Feel free to use this to create a new item though.

Fixed: FMP issue with replacing the mesh.

i still kinda like it with the pads

Hey guys, I'm having some problems with this mod, I have an error when I apply it about an exception of type "System.Exception" has been thrown, why is this?

Yes, I am using the latest Fable Explorer with the latest Def.xml file as well.

Works like a charm now bluetooth thanks, now I have to replace the platinum armor with this new mesh too.

You can justy swap textures to with the good/evil platemail.

The bright and dark use the same model with a TextureReplacementDef. Just go into the entry and change the model ID their pointed to.

Could you do it reverse? Like, take out the chest and put just shoulder pads? That way I can show off my tats!

Also, maybe you should consider making it a separate item? I liked the shoulder pad version just as much as I like your version.

The way to create new items and suits is given in the wiki:

New clothing template - How to create a new individual clothing item (e.g. a shirt)

New suit template - How to create a suit (collection of clothing items) that appears in the suit section of the inventory.

Right-clicking on game.bin and going to Create New Entry should be it.

Go to Select Data File first and find your game.bin file.
Symbol Name = OBJECT_NAME_HERE_WHATEVER
Type = OBJECT

Then proceed accordingly. Your object should be under OBJECT now, and about 14762 should be correct if this is your first new OBJECT added to the stock game.bin file.

Though of course, I could be wrong. Though this seemed about right.

FE now also has the option to rename entries. Pick an entry. Change all the links. Rename it and then add it to an fmp. When you load it to a stock game.bin it'll add it as a new item.

Hi, you made a Mod a while back

I noticed the Picture isn't avaliable anymore either, could you possibly send me a picture of it, if you still have it?
Also, does this replace the Dark and Bright Plate Armors aswell? or just the Neutral?

That's quite the epic bump you've made. Open the bright/dark plate shirt OBJECT entries, browse their CDefs for a CAppearanceModifierDef and open it, notice the link to a mesh entry - it will be the original mesh entry. Change it to the new one, which if you haven't added anything else, will be 8113. Apply Changes, Actions|Save Mods and Run Fable, etc. etc. Thread locked.
