only problem is, fable explorer it met with a critical error after the picture of the guys head at his various ages appears. is there another way to do small edits like this? or can someone tell me how to fix this problem? and yes, i have all the requirements ive read that i need, across this website.

Weapon damage modify procedure:
open fable explorer and scroll down on the left panel till you find "OBJECTS"
double click that and it will bring down a whole bunch of entrys.
most of the weapons start at entry 5754.
select the weapon you wish to modify, then double click it.
a page will come up and then double click the "OBJECT" selection.
a whole bunch of modifiable things come up on the right but the only one your concerned with right now is "CWeaponDef"
when you find that click the blue link that says "Links to (GameBinEntryID):
then double click "CWeaponDef" and another list of modifiable things come up.
find "Damage" and change that to whatever you want that to be.
for example: if you want sword of aeons to have 1000 damage, change the damage number from 23 to 100. meaning whatever you want the damage to be, divide that by 10 and thats what you type in.

i included fable explorer because you said yours isnt working.

If you can't get FE to work, then I don't know any other way to edit the *.bin files.

Sorry.

Im not the modding master, but i know about FE.
If all of the .dll files arent in whatever folder that Fable Explorer is in, then put them there. (this shouldnt be the problem because the installer does this for you.)
another thing you should do is reinstall fable. (just keep your saved games. al you have to do is go to controll pannel>add/remove Programs>fable tlc> then just uncheck the "delete save games" box and begin.)
another thing is you might not be giving it enough time to load.

hope it works out for you. Very Happy
