Changelog:
  • Modified CREATURE_HERO_RIVAL_GOOD_01
  • Changed Character Model to Hero
  • Changed Eye Model to Hero
  • Added the Hero's CHeroMorphDef (for general morphing)
  • Added the Hero's CCreatureDef (for wounds and scars)
  • Added CTCHeroMorph, CTCSkeletonMorph, CTCWound, CTCTextureDecal, and CTCHeroAttachableAppearanceModifiers to CTC List.
  • Contains Fixed Morph Layers Mod


This Changes the Generic Rival Hero into a Customizable Hero through scripting.

The commands are as so:

If you make the textures I'll setup the morphing. But otherwise no, the Hero had all this stuff setup ahead of time. I just moved it over to an NPC.

Also. The Hero is the only one with multiple sets of clothing. You'd need to make new clothing models using the NPC's skeleton for that part.

I have played Fable many times... And on a few occasions I have noticed that I have killed 1 Rival Hero... Now I played NOT killing Twinblade or Whisper and it still said I had... Who could that be? Jack of Blades maybe?

No. You have to spawn it manually.

Look here on how to export and import a tng with Fable Explorer.

Open the tng in notepad.

Copy and paste the code under the null section start.

Make sure the coordinates are correct.

Import it again, save changes and you're done.

No more questions about scripting here!

Unless it's specificly about this mod, post them in the scripting section, after you've searched.

It's a character (a copy of the hero) you can spawn. You can dress it up with the hero's clothes, and change it's allignment.

I used it to test morphing stuff personally. But it can be used for anything. Including a Bodyguard that can be wounded.

Which part of customizable is so complicated? You can script it however you like.
You can make it whatever you want.

Finally after spent more then 10 crash and more then 8 hours find out how to :
1. Make them appear (spawn).
2. As enemies

Search the forum = Spent 1 hour
ReaD the freaking wiki!!! = spent another hour Rolling Eyes .
Extract .tng from bowerstone, oakvale etc searching for rival hero spawning script = spent 2 hour
Try it out = spent 4 hour


I delete this from the script :

StartCTCRandomAppearanceMorph;
Seed -169052493;
EndCTCRandomAppearanceMorph;

Add this to the script :

StartCTCHero;
LastWeaponEquippedID 0;
hero_title_object_def_name "???"; Fill ?? with whatever tittle
EndCTCHero;

Export from rival_hero_good1 then Import to new creature_hero_custom.

Change the (make new one actually then link them to the script) :

1. Cweapondef
2. csummonablecreaturedef
3. ccreaturedef

Maybe don't have to change them (find different one actually then link them to the script) but I did :

1. cenemydef
2. centitysounddef
3. caiscrachpaddef
4. cperceivedthingdef
5. copinionofherodef

It work now, spawn them on the Chamber of Fate (FrescoDome).


Oh nice job on the cheromorph by the way.

I can't believe I haven't mentioned this.
There's a glitch involved with the textures.
If they're the same textures, the Hero can adopt the texture morphing from the customized NPC. Usually shortly after interaction. I don't know why this happens, but I've seen it happen.
An easy solution, since this mod uses a custom CHeroMorphDef, is to repack the CHeroMorphDef with all of the linked textures in an FMP, each texture entry renamed of course, then resetting FE, loading the original mod, then the texture fix mod.
