For anyone who wants to edit models and cannot afford 3ds max:

Blender:

~~.X exporter~~ - Included in the default package of Blender

Note: Blender can import .x files, you only need the plugin for exporting.

if you cant afford 3d max ~~you can download it for free at lolbutts.com~~ then you can't afford it and that's too bad.
